Description

There is corruption within the British army based in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Two civilians are sent to Camp Bastion on separate assignments. One an investigative journalist, the other an air accident investigator sent to discover why an Apache helicopter collided with a Chinook carrying a contingent of SAS. Separately, they uncover that weapons and military spare parts are being sold to the Labyrinth, a secretive network of organised crime whose pathways reach into governments, corporations and finance houses across the world. When both are kidnapped, they find themselves in the clutches of an enigmatic and powerful Afghan warlord with a fearsome reputation and intellect to match. The Minotaur. Escape is seemingly impossible...physical action is useless. There is only one way to play this out... appeal to another dimension of the Minotaur's psyche. The Minotaur's Forgotten Drum reprises some of the main characters from the novel Rainshadow by Brian Morris. Set in London, Helmand and the Languedoc in southern France, it is a tale of criminality and corruption but ultimately of reconciliation and redemption.
